DR. & MRS. DAVID B. ALLMAN SCHOLARSHIP - 2010
In memory of Dr. David B. Allman, a past President of the American Medical Association and later, by Mrs. Allman and funded by their estate, this scholarship is available to contestants wishing to enter the field of medicine.This annual $2,000 scholarship was established in 1998, in memory of Tiffany Phillips, the teenage daughter of Steve and Dana Phillips, Oregon. Tiffany, who lost her life in a tragic accident in 1998, was both an outstanding scholar and an exceptional athlete. This academic scholarship is funded in equal grants from Steve and Dana Phillips and the Miss America Organization. It is presented to an outstanding scholar-athlete that participated in the Miss America program during the current year regardless of whether a title was won.
