Miss Hawaii Outstanding Teen
New Miss Hawaii's Outstanding Teen 2008, Halialani Parish!
Miss Hawaii's Outstanding Teen program crowned its 4th State titleholder, Halialani Parish, a junior at Kapolei High School.
The new Miss Hawaii's Outstanding Teen will go on to compete on Augist 16th at the Miss America's Outstanding Teen competition in Orlando, Florida. There she will compete with 51 other State representatives for over $30,000 in scholarship awards and the crown of Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2009.
Halialani's platform, Motivating Teens to Go Positive, recognizes that like herself, teens today face many challenges. These challenges are sometimes the result of negative influences, poor role models and negative peer pressure. Halialani, through her Go Postive campaign will create a better awareness amongst teens that their are positive options and positive influences that they can consider.
